Melton City Girls Can 2026

Following a successful pilot in 2025, Melton City Council is excited to bring Melton City Girls Can back in 2026.

MCGC will celebrate, support and create new opportunities for people who identify as women and girls in the City of Melton to participate in sport and active recreation.

Inspired by VicHealth’s This Girl Can campaign and delivered in partnership with local sports clubs and community groups. MCGC aims to enable women and girls to get active in ways that work for them. Whether it’s a little or a lot, what matters is moving your body and having fun – on your own terms, in your own way.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Local sporting groups and clubs across the City of Melton are partnering with Council to deliver a series of free ‘Come and Try’ sessions, aimed at giving participants the opportunity to try a new active outlet with no commitment. All sessions are free, however, bookings are essential. To learn more about each session, click through to the session you’re interested in below.
