Melton City Council is pleased to present its 2025/26 professional development calendar for early years educators working in the City of Melton.

With a focus on family-centred, child focused, and strength-based strategies these engaging sessions are free to attend.

Fair Access Workshops for Sports Clubs

Attend a Fair Access Workshop for your chance to win 1 of 6 $500 vouchers towards sporting goods for your club!

Melton City Council and GenWest are working together to deliver a series of workshops for leaders, coaches and decision makers at sports clubs, to help you understand

what policy changes have come into place,
what this means for your club,
how your club can support the prevention of gender based violence and
ways your club can be more inclusive for women and girls.

Following this, clubs will have the opportunity to express their interest in receiving free support from GenWest to develop tailored action plans to facilitate increased participation from women and girls.

These workshops are delivered as part of Melton City Girls Can (MCGC), Council’s new campaign to celebrate, support and create new opportunities for people who identify as women and girls in the City of Melton to participate in sport and active recreation. 2025 Community Partnership Program: Expression of Interests now open

Is your community group or organisation interested in building connections, cultural learning, promoting mutual respect and partnering with diverse groups on a shared project? Be a part of Melton City Council’s award-winning Community Partnership Program (CPP)! It supports partnerships between local community groups, organisations and service providers that will benefit the broader community.

The CPP is designed to assist participants undertake community workshops or projects that will benefit the City of Melton community. We encourage our diverse and under-represented communities to take part in this program and build their confidence in working together on projects that help their respective community.

Council is now welcoming expressions of interest (EOI) from local community groups, organisations, and service providers to participate in the 2025 program.

We strongly recommend potential applicants read the program guidelines before submitting an EOI. The guidelines can be found on Council’s website. Applications can be made via this webpage as well. EOI’s close Monday 17 March 2025.
