January 2022 School Holiday Activities for Kids & Teens!

Learning experiences don’t end when school is out, our learning activities and events continue all year round!

We’re excited to have you join us throughout January for a range of in-person and online programs and events including leathercraft workshops for children and teens, a sushi making workshop, an outdoor craft and activities morning, hip hop workshop, online craft videos plus so much more!

FRIDAY 7 JANUARY

Hip Hop for Kids | 5-7 Years

Learn hip hop dance moves in a friendly environment. Two sessions available (10am: 5-7 years OR 11.15am: 8-12 years).

Online School Holiday Activities start 17 September!

Council’s community facilities are excited to be bringing to you a program of free and low cost online activities for children and families starting 17 September!

Whilst we would love to be meeting in person to deliver these interactive, fun and engaging programs, we’re ecstatic to still be able to deliver many of our planned activities to you virtually.

Programs are available both live via Zoom and pre-recorded via our YouTube channel. Some activities require bookings, secure your child’s place quickly to avoid disappointment!

Father’s Day Drawing Competition!

To celebrate Father’s Day we’re giving your household a chance to win 1 of 20 gift packs!

To enter, draw picture of someone special in your life on an A4 piece of paper and send a photo of it to us by sending us a message via our Facebook page or via email.

Make sure you include these details with your entry:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Age
  • Contact Phone Number

Your drawing can include you and your special person or your whole family, it is entirely up to you! You could win 1 of 20 gift packs including an A4 frame to put your picture in, a pack of coloured pencils and a blank card and envelope for you to decorate and write in to gift to your Dad or special person this Father’s Day.

Entries close 12pm Thursday 2 September. Winners will be notified by phone the same afternoon. Packs will be delivered to winners’ households by a member of council’s staff on Friday 3 September.

Strictly one entry per household. Open to City of Melton residents only, aged up to 18 years.

Should any lasting restrictions result in the cancellation of any programs, refunds for those sessions will be issued to all paying participants.

Although we currently find ourselves looking for new things to learn and engage in from the comfort of our homes, our team are still busy at work planning a full schedule of online and face-to-face programs for term 3! Our community are extremely lucky to not only be able to get involved in a variety of old favourites, we have many new and exciting programs and events on offer as well!

Bookings for term 3 programs will open from 9am on Tuesday 15 June. Listings are being added each day this week but you can already browse many opportunities already. Winter 2020 Vacation Care Program | Bookings Close Friday 19 June

Enrolments are now open for Melton City Council’s Winter 2020 Vacation Care Program for Primary School aged children. Your kids will have a blast at Bridge Road Children’s & Community Centre in Strathtulloh with fun activities and incursions including ‘Messy Monday’, ‘Book Day’, ‘Funky Foods’, ‘Winter Olympics, ‘Mindfulness Day’ and so much more!
