Details

This is a fortnightly group that meets at Stevenson House from Thursday 29 January at 11am.

Come along and chat with other people from the local Syriac community, catch up with friends, meet new people and learn new skills.

The Syriac Seniors Group is an open, social, educational, and recreational group. Many seniors from the Syriac community attend this group to break their isolation, make new friends, share their stories and positive experience, learn the language, learn how to navigate various systems and increase their knowledge to integrate into the local society.

Being part of a group is an important part of human nature. Social connections and increased communication help boost a positive mindset and a sense of belonging.

These group sessions are delivered in partnership with Foundation House.
