Learn the essentials of hand and machine sewing in this engaging introductory course, including working your machine, creating various stitches and much more! Students have the chance to make a variety of items, such as a pot stand, a pillowcase, a pincushion, a tote bag and an apron.

This course can offer you a pathway to work in the industry, further study at the centre or elsewhere, or even a foot in the door to join the centre’s informal Sewing Club.

Students MUST have their own working sewing machine that they can bring with them to each class. Other materials are also required, which will be discussed on enrolment and in classes.
