Father’s Day Drawing Competition!

To celebrate Father’s Day we’re giving your household a chance to win 1 of 20 gift packs!

To enter, draw picture of someone special in your life on an A4 piece of paper and send a photo of it to us by sending us a message via our Facebook page or via email.

Make sure you include these details with your entry:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Age
  • Contact Phone Number

Your drawing can include you and your special person or your whole family, it is entirely up to you! You could win 1 of 20 gift packs including an A4 frame to put your picture in, a pack of coloured pencils and a blank card and envelope for you to decorate and write in to gift to your Dad or special person this Father’s Day.

Entries close 12pm Thursday 2 September. Winners will be notified by phone the same afternoon. Packs will be delivered to winners’ households by a member of council’s staff on Friday 3 September.

Strictly one entry per household. Open to City of Melton residents only, aged up to 18 years.

Competition: Gender Equality Art Ideas

Timbertop Children’s & Community Centre invites you to share your ideas for what art pieces could adorn the walls of the centre.

Under the theme of gender equality, send us a creative art idea like a pencil sketch or a painting or any other art medium with a short blurb on how the art work aligns with the theme. Your ideas will be shared with the local community before a panel chooses a winner who will receive a prize! Information about how the winning idea will come to life will be shared shortly after the winner is announced.

Send your ideas via email or drop it in to the centre in person.

The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone in our community in different ways. If you connected with us during this time via our YouTube Channel, any of our live online programs or an in-person program, we would love to hear from you about your experience.

This survey contains just 6 questions and will take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Competition: Halloween Spoonville Stories

If there’s one thing lockdown has brought us, it’s a multitude of Spoonville communities all over the City of Melton! These spoony cities have brought joy to many of our residents, especially the little ones.

To celebrate Halloween we are giving away 30 activity packs, 10 each for kids, teens and adults! For your chance to win, tell us your spookiest Spoonville story (real or made up!) in the comment section of this post on our Facebook page. To be in the draw you must ‘like’ our Facebook page and include in your comment:

  • Your spooky spoony story – this can be a written story, a drawing, a poem, as creative as you can think of!
  • Storyteller’s name
  • Storyteller’s age – open to any age
  • Storyteller’s suburb – City of Melton only

Create a Bus Safety Poster to Win

Travelling to school by bus, although not particularly prominent in 2020, can be for many young people, their first experience of travelling independently.

Transdev are committed to promoting education around bus safety and building young people’s confidence to use a bus for travel.

To help spread the message, Transdev are inviting students in years 5-8 to create an original poster featuring a bus safety message for your chance to win 1 of 4 prizes. Entries close 25 September.

Online Program Facebook Competition!

For many in our community, lockdown has become the perfect time to learn something new or discover a new hobby, all from the comfort of your own home. To celebrate our extensive series of online programs, we are giving away 5 amazing prizes to 5 lucky winners on our Facebook page! Entering is easy and can be done in 3 easy steps.

  1. Take a photo or video (or both!) of yourself doing one of our online programs. You can do anything from our YouTube channel, you can find them here:
  2. Upload your photo or video to Facebook, tagging the Melton City Council Learning Directory Facebook page in your post.
  3. In your post, tell us
    • What program you are doing,
    • What you are learning
    • Why you’re enjoying it!
    • Must also include your suburb.

The competition will have 5 winners from 5 categories who will win the following:

  • Sustainability: Gardening pack including 1 x raised garden bed, soil, seeds, plant food, and gardening tools

LEGO CREATION COMPETITION
