In celebration of Refugee Week 2025, Melton City Council, invites you to Voices of Freedom: Tales of Finding Home—a powerful film screening event exploring the transformative power of storytelling and its role in healing, empowerment, and community connection.

This curated session will feature a selection of short films and mini-documentaries (5–25 minutes each), created by or about people with lived refugee experiences in Australia.

The films will focus on advocacy through storytelling, freedom in new beginnings, navigating identity and culture & building and contributing to community

Voices of Freedom aims to foster a deeper understanding of the refugee journey within the local Melton community and offer space for reflection, connection, and conversation.

The event will conclude with a light lunch.
