Celebrate Neighbour Day at our family-friendly event, offering a sky filled with colourful kites, and a chance to connect with your local community. 

Experience the joy of kite creation as you construct a classic diamond shaped kite using our easy to assemble kite kits. Use the provided art supplies to decorate your kite to your taste. Once completed, spend some time outside flying your kite while enjoying a free BBQ, outdoor games and a sidewalk chalk art station. 

Connect with staff from Council’s Community Centres to hear about opportunities to socialise and learn in your local area. 

BOOKINGS 

Bookings are only required for those wishing to make a kite. Bookings are not required for anyone wishing to simply pop in to enjoy all other activities including the BBQ (to be served from 5.30pm – 6.30pm or until supplies run out).   

This is an all ages, all abilities event. Parent supervision is required for the duration of the event for children under 15 years.  

Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual celebration of community. It is a call-to-action for everyone to connect with their community in their own way and is an opportunity to strengthen respectful relationships within your community.
