To celebrate NAIDOC Week in 2025, Melton City Council invites you and your family to contribute to a community artwork whilst celebrating the oldest living culture in the world! 

As you step into the room, you’ll be met with the sounds of traditional Indigenous music, setting the scene for the day. You’ll smell the rich flavours of Indigenous cooking from the array of snacks and refreshments, prepared by local Indigenous catering business, Killara Cafe. 

Throughout out the afternoon you’ll be guided to use traditional Aboriginal painting techniques as you add your own twist to our community mural. Upon the completion of the session, our team will collate the completed artworks into a mural, to be displayed for all to see at the community centre.  

This is a free event. All ages are welcome. Bookings are essential.
