As we Celebrate Cultural Diversity Week, Jungle Shimmy is a dynamic music and dance adventure across the world! With colourful props and fun, easy-to-follow dances including Belly Dance, Bollywood, Bhangra, Turkish, Egyptian, Gulf, and Lebanese folk styles, everybody is up on their feet dancing. Jungle Shimmy’s shrill cry of a Zaghareet, Middle Eastern instruments and rhythms like Khaleegi, Maqsoum and Beledi, and unique handmade puppet theatre draw audiences of all ages into a captivating world of culture and creative self-expression.

ABOUT IMAGINATION MAGIC

Imagination Magic is an interactive performing arts and literacy program for babies, young children aged 0 -5 years of age and their carers.

The program encourages child interaction and provides children with a fun, creative, stimulating experience filled with music and movement. There are a variety of performers including; musicians, dancers, puppets and drumming.

It is important that attendees abide by Imagination Magic’s Behaviour Guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

BOOKINGS

Bookings are required for children only.

Parents/guardians are not required to book a place.  Places are limited and bookings are essential to secure your place. Due to limited number of spaces, this program is available only to City of Melton residents. Preference for bookings will be given to families who reside in the Melton Municipality.  If you require support to make a booking please contact imaginationmagic@melton.vic.gov.au
