To celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC Week, Melton City Council are hosting a hands-on indigenous art workshop for kids.
Led by Elizabeth from First Nation Creative, children will be guided to use traditional artistic techniques to decorate a native tree with Australian birds that are found in the Fraser Rise area. The group art project will be displayed at the community centre for the community see and enjoy.
Alongside the group project, each child will also take home their very own native bird brooch that they can wear proudly on their clothing, kindly gifted by Elizabeth.
Through fun and creativity, your child will discover the rich history of Australian Indigenous culture.
Suitable for children aged 6 years and older. Parent/guardian supervision is required for the duration of the workshop.
Spaces are limited and expected fill fast, book early to avoid disappointment.
