A workshop on silicon cell pull using the bloom (swipe) and flip cup methods gives participants a hands-on introduction to how silicon begins forming crystal structures.

The bloom method involves swiping material from molten silicon to observe how motion and cooling influence solidification, while the flip cup method uses controlled inversion to demonstrate how gravity and cooling direction shape crystal growth.

Paintings will need to be collected on the Monday, to allow for drying.
